Lowell Spinners (Red Sox Short A) – Zombie Player Bobblehead
This is a well timed promotion from the Lowell Spinners if we’ve ever seen one. Tonight is premier of the spin-off series of the hit zombie gore-fest the Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, on AMC. Or maybe this is just a witty commentary on how bad the Red Sox season has gone this year. We kid, we kid…the Red Sox are terrible this year, but this “Balking Dead” bobble is a clever way to promote the new TV show. Either way, who doesn’t like the idea of a zombie baseball player bobblehead?
There’s been a few around the leagues in recent years. The Kansas City Royals put their own out a few weeks back. Hopefully they don’t become too prevalent though. These could lose their appeal and become kitsch very quickly if that becomes the case.
***Honorable mention to the Don Zimmer bobblehead from the New Hampshire Fisher Cats today. That is a real nice looking piece!
