Pebble Beach Pro-Am – Jordan Spieth Bobblehead
Jordan Spieth has officially reached that rarified air at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Spieth counts AT&T among his sponsors, and the company has created a bobblehead in his likeness for this week’s event. The first 8,000 fans in attendance Saturday, when Spieth and pro-am partner Jake Owen tackle the scenic host course, will receive a bobblehead voucher.
“I don’t know how, but somehow I think it’s even better looking than me,” Spieth said Wednesday. “Definitely better looking than Jake.”
That second comment prompted a response from the country star, who produced a bobblehead of his own that led to one of the more unique photo opportunities at a golf tournament in recent memory.
“I couldn’t let you have all this attention,” Owen joked.
Bobblehead design can be a fickle art form, but Spieth said he was pleased with the resemblance that will be offered to fans this weekend, even if it draws comparisons to other golfers.
“I’ve heard of a lot of different ones. I saw a picture and heard of Gary Koch, I thought that was kind of decent,” Spieth said. “I don’t know. I heard someone told me, ‘You in 30 years.’ But yeah, it’s a pretty good representation, I think.”
