A Day for Cancer Awareness Cap
The Giants organization welcomes you and your family and friends out to the ballpark to join them in celebrating the 25th anniversary of Giants alumni, Dave Dravecky’s triumphant comeback of 1989. Dravecky, a cancer survivor himself, defied the odds and made a return to the game that he loved; a comeback that fans of baseball still talk about today. For his courage and bravery, Dravecky was awarded the 1989 Hutch Award, given annually to an active Major League Baseball (MLB) player who “best exemplifies the fighting spirit and competitive desire” of Fred Hutchinson, by persevering through adversity. Since then, Dravecky has gone to great lengths to ensure that everybody has a fighting chance when battling this disease. Your special event ticket package includes a ticket to the Saturday evening game versus the Diamondbacks, as well as a limited-edition Dave Dravecky hat, only available through this Special Event offer, with partial proceeds from each special ticket purchased being donated directly to Dravecky’s nonprofit, Endurance, to aid in their ongoing efforts. Please remember to show up early, as there will be a pre-game Home Plate ceremony including Dravecky and his ongoing efforts!
