As the Giants and A’s begin their series battle at AT&T Park on Friday, July 13th, fans of both teams are invited to flash back to the 1989 World Series, declared as the “Battle of the Bay”! Both of the Bay Area’s baseball juggernauts fought to claim the title for their respective sides of the Bay. Also known as the “Earthquake World Series,” many will never forget the day the series stopped at Candlestick Park due to the Loma Prieta earthquake that sent shockwaves from Oakland to San Francisco. In true #FlashbackFriday style, each Special Event ticketholder of this Friday evening offer will receive a commemorative “Battle of the Bay” t-shirt – the same one your parents would’ve worn in ’89!
