Today is just insane!  There is no other way to describe it.  We simply could not pick a best SGA of the day because there are a handful here that are too good to choose from.

Casting aside some awesome giveaways like the Ozzie Smith figurine in St. Louis and the Stephen Strasburg bobblehead in D.C; what is left is utterly phenomenal.

Carrying on their annual tradition of Seinfeld Night, the Brooklyn Cyclones have some great stuff for you today.  General admission tickets will get you a Little Jerry Bobble-Beak.  Special tickets will also score you a Van Buren Boys Bobblehead/T-Shirt combo.  AND…there is even a VIP package that gets you all of that, and last year’s Magic Loogie Keith Hernandez bobblehead to boot.  As we said earlier…INSANE! ***Late add-on…there is also 250 “Man Hands” Hulk looking hands included with a special ticket package today too!

We picked this as today’s SGA of the day for a couple reasons.  First, it’s Madison Bumgarner…enough said right there.  Second, in this bobblehead Madison is sporting a camo style, patriotic jersey.  A fitting tribute to the 4th of July and independence and all those who have fought to secure it for us back here in the USA and around the world.  Third, it’s sponsored by Navy Federal Credit Union.  This might be the most patriotic themed SGA ever!

Atlanta Braves – Jason Grilli Rebel X-Wing Pilot Bobblehead

Today you get to enjoy one of the more anticipated and controversial bobblehead sgas of the season.  First, the anticipation: this is the first Star Wars bobblehead giveaway that includes the player atop a vehicle.  Over the past few seasons more and more teams have gotten into the Star Wars night/bobblehead game and it’s led to one clear conclusion…a little more creativity is going to be needed to make these desirable in the long-run.  Having the same one or two poses and Jedi themed bobbleheads was starting to wear thin on people.  So up step the Atlanta Braves and bam; you get a rebel themed player piloting an X-Wing fighter.  It’s a great concept and at that point in time, truly unique (Marlins have since followed cue and announced a Michael Morse pilot bobblehead of sorts – details still pending. And we know…Michael Morse, come on Marlins!  Where the heck is the Stanton or Jose Fernandez or Heche or Yelich OR HELL..Dan Jennings???).

Now onto the controversy: this was originally suppose to be a bobblehead of All-Star closer Craig Kimbrel.  However, in the days leading up to the season he was traded to the Padres and there you have it…the Braves needed to find a replacement player for their X-Wing.  Everyone speculates they just lazily plopped their new closer Jason Grilli in there for convenience sake.  This has upset a good number of fans because while Kimbrel was a young stud closer, Grilli really is just a veteran fill-in closer.  Braves faithful would of liked to see maybe a Freddie Freeman or Andrelton Simmons fill in for Kimbrel on the bobblehead.  But oh well.  It is what it is.

In any event it is still a sick bobblehead giveaway and MLB and Star Wars fans alike will be happy to get it regardless of who the player is we are sure!

Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets Short A NYPL) – Back to the Future Jersey

Tomorrow, July 3rd, is the 30th anniversary of Back to the Futures original cinematic release in 1985.  To celebrate, a lot of teams across the MLB and MiLB are doing some cool promotions.  Most notably the Florida Marlins and their Billy the Marlin “Billy McFly” on a hoverboard bobblehead promotion…but you’ll have to wait till September 25th for that one.

Today however, the Brooklyn Cyclones have a real nice one for you.  They are giving out some Marty McFly themed Back to the Future jerseys!  These are just plain cool.  Styled after Marty’s iconic wardrobe throughout the movie…you won’t be disappointed in this sga!

Detroit Tigers – Yoenis Cespedes Bobblehead

Cuban slugger Yoenis Cespedes has been on a tear this season with the Tigers putting up some real respectable numbers.  He is currently batting .293 with 40 rbis and 10 home runs through his first 77 games this year.  With a little shot in the arm he could easily end the season batting over .300 with 100 rbis and 20+ home runs.  This is a great player and a nice bobblehead to add to any collection.
