Tennessee Smokies (Cubs AA) – Kris Bryant Bobblehead

If the first half of this season in the MLB can be summed up perfectly, it would have to be as the Year of the Prospect.  Literally the top 10 MLB prospects coming into the season are now on active MLB rosters.  Many of them are making waves.  But none was more anticipated than Kris Bryant; and he has easily lived up to expectations thus far.  As of today, Bryant sits at a respectable .272 batting average.  Nothing to scoff at for a rookie, especially one as young as Bryant facing big league arms for the first time.  Along with that batting average come a a truly impressive bevy of complementary stats like 50 rbis, 46 runs, 12 home runs, and even 8 stolen bases.  To put it simply, he is the real deal and if those numbers improve over the second half…it’s hard to cast doubt that Bryant isn’t going to smash a lot of records in his youth.

The Kris Bryant bobblehead today from the Tennessee Smokies commemorates his 2014 Minor League Player of the Year honors from 2014.  It’s a must have piece for any diehard MLB bobblehead collector.

San Francisco Giants vs Philadelphia Phillies – Pence on the Fence Doll

Based on web traffic to our site, we have concluded that the Pence on the Fence Doll sga being handed out today by the San Francisco Giants is by far the most anticipated giveaway this year (to date).  It has been trending for a few weeks now and easily tops our daily searches/hits from the web.
A spin on the Elf on the Shelf phenomena (which already seems creepy enough to us); now you can truly scare your kids into crapping themselves with Pence on the Fence in all his crazy looking guy glory!  This is just the latest iteration of Pence in giveaway form that will no doubt amuse people as much as his real life personality and antics on and off the diamond.  Although to be fair, his “on the diamond” antics are actually just quirks in his play.  He’s an odd guy to say the least.  But as to his skills (quirks aside), he is an amazing ball player and his presence makes the game of baseball that much better for all who get to see him.
