As we’ve said before, Star Wars nights are becoming almost obligatory across the Majors (and Minors even). Some stadiums give out Star Wars SGAs to all fans or the first 20k…but the Twins and many other clubs require you to purchase (at no real extra cost) a Star Wars event ticket to get their SGA item. Get your special event ticket to Star Wars Night with the Twins and score yourself a nice Phil Hughs Star Wars bobblehead! Altuve is the official King of Contact in the MLB right now. Last season he cracked an absurd 225 hits on route to putting up a .341 batting average for the season. He hasn’t lost a beat in the early going for 2015 it seems either. Currently batting north of .360 and already racking up 36 hits in the opening month. There is no more fitting player to deserve a “hit-counter” bobblehead. Our only suggestion to fans who acquire this awesome SGA is this: don’t bother changing the hit count on a daily basis because you’re gonna break this thing! With so many hits on a daily basis, just change it once a month! That way you preserve this beautiful bobblehead for years to come.

The best SGA of today comes courtesy of the Kansas City Royals and their 2nd Annual Zumbazpalooza Day! Flashback to the early 90s; when the horrible fashion of the 80s had not yet died, but was evolving into some awkward teenage state of sorts before it truly came into its own. That’s the best way we can describe the phenomena that was Zumbaz products. In any event, it’s a cool and unique SGA trend that a handful of teams have embraced over the past year or so. The Athletics and Pirates (we believe) have done their own Zumbaz days. So maybe the fashion trend is catching back on. If only in the world of joke SGA items.
Additionally, there are some really nice bobbleheads down in the Minor Leagues (MILB) today. You have the inevitable (we can’t believe it took this long even) Puig bat-flip bobblehead. As well as two of our favorite bobbleheads of the entire seasion: policeman and fireman Noah Syndergaard.

But up in the MLB you’ve got 2 bobbleheads worthy of note. A mini Ozzie Smith and a full sized Masahiro Tanaka. The cream of the crop today however is the Derek Holland Garden Gnome! Holland is dressed in full Dumb and Dumber To orange suit. If you are wondering why the hell an MLB starting pitcher from Texas is dressed like a Dumb and Dumber character, you probably aren’t alone.
